Vagina (Pum Pum) Rock, Jamaica


Located in the Bog Walk Gorge, St Catherine, Jamaica, is this natural rock formation resembling  the Female External Genitalia that the locals call 'Pum Pum Rock'





The famous Pum Pum Rock is known to be the eighth wonder of the world. 'Pum Pum' is another definition for the Vaniga in the Island native dialect PATIOS. The rock was discovered in the early eighteenth century and attracted hundreds of Tourist weekly.

Camera :    Canon 70D

Lens :         Sigma 17-50mm

Filter :        Tiffen CPL

Tripod :      Vanguard Alta Pro 253CT


Technique :

1. Create High Dynamic Range (HDR) image from 3 exposures (-2, 0, +2) with Photomatix Pro using contrast optimizer

2. Open original exposures and HDR as layers in Adobe Photoshop

3. Manually blend HDR with original exposures using hand painted mask to get the desired dynamic range.

4. Finish using Topaz Plugins.
